Role Overview

Due to expansion and new contracts, we are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join us as a Team Leader in Vehicle Despatch at our Port of Brisbane location.

Key Responsibilities

• Organize and manage daily vehicle despatch schedules to ensure timely fulfillment of customer orders.
• Contribute to the development of cost-effective and time-efficient operational methods through innovative thinking.
• Lead the despatch team to meet and exceed key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Support training efforts including coaching, mentoring, and identifying skill gaps within the team.
• Balance workflow to optimize productivity, labor efficiency, and minimize labor expenses.
• Address and escalate daily operational challenges promptly.
• Promote process improvements to enhance work practices.
• Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and productivity standards consistently.
• Maintain and enforce quality assurance protocols during all operations.
• Foster strong collaboration and effective communication with other departments.
• Supervise that despatch team carries out all tasks on customer vehicles precisely as instructed.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Experience in the automotive industry is advantageous.
• Mechanical and electrical aptitude is considered a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Ability to multitask efficiently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
