Position Overview

The Intelligence & Cyber Cleared Senior Talent Acquisition Lead plays an integral role in managing the full recruitment lifecycle across Amentum’s Australian programs. This position ensures the effective sourcing, evaluation, and onboarding of exceptional talent to support the company's strategic workforce goals. The role works closely with corporate recruitment, functional managers, and HR teams to align hiring with organizational strategies.

Purpose and Scope

As a vital driver of the talent acquisition strategy, the Lead oversees end-to-end recruiting processes including candidate sourcing, assessments, offer management and fosters strong collaboration with hiring managers and HR partners. This role is also responsible for crafting recruitment strategies tailored for both US and Australian candidate markets and regularly analyzing recruitment data to refine hiring approaches and meet changing workforce demands. Promoting diversity, professionalism, and innovation are key aspects of this role.

Reporting and Collaboration

This role reports directly to the Talent Acquisition Operations Manager and entails consistent coordination with the Human Resources team to ensure seamless communication about program and candidate needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a recruitment expert for US and Australian markets, providing timely advice to staff and management.
  • Participate in the development and rollout of recruitment policies and strategies.
  • Manage HR Information Systems to optimize recruitment process efficiency and KPI tracking.
  • Maintain accurate recruitment data, monitor trends, and proactively manage talent pipeline.
  • Ensure compliance with DISP accreditation and conduct necessary pre-screenings.
  • Collaborate with HR and managers to create and update job descriptions, advertisements, and organizational charts.
  • Oversee the entire recruitment process including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, reference checks, and administration.
  • Train managers on recruitment procedures to strengthen their hiring capabilities.
  • Champion health, safety, and environmental standards while fostering a safe workplace culture.
  • Support staffing plans and benefits alignment with strategic goals.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Deliver an exceptional recruitment experience to ensure candidates and new hires feel valued and supported.
  • Apply thorough knowledge of US and Australian recruitment laws and processes effectively.
  • Serve as a primary communication point for candidates providing clear guidance and addressing concerns.
  • Collaborate across functions to align recruitment efforts with company objectives.
  • Maintain high data integrity and confidentiality while complying with relevant policies.
  • Proactively solve recruitment challenges to ensure a smooth hiring experience.

Working Environment

  • Primarily desk-based with frequent use of multiple computer platforms and involvement in virtual, phone, and face-to-face meetings.
  • Regular movement around office space for coordination and onboarding activities.
  • Standard working hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, totaling 40 hours per week, with flexible arrangements available and occasional work to align with international time zones.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Mandatory: Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 3 to 4 years’ experience in HR management or recruitment with strong knowledge of recruitment policies and processes.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to engage stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Desirable: Certificate IV in Human Resources or Workplace Training and Assessment, professional HR certifications (CPHR, FCPHR, PHR, SHRM-CP), and postgraduate HR qualifications.

Licenses & Clearance

  • Required: Australian Driver’s License or ability to obtain.
  • Security Clearance: Must obtain and maintain appropriate US Secret or NV1 Australian Defence Security Clearance, with potential for Top Secret or TS/SCI clearance including polygraph.

Physical and Safety Requirements

  • Must maintain medical clearance suitable for the role.
  • Physical activities include sitting, standing, walking, lifting up to 20kg, bending, stooping, kneeling, and squatting as needed.
  • Commitment to Environmental, Health, and Safety regulations including use of PPE and the right to stop unsafe work practices.

Additional Information

  • Personnel must be at least 18 years old and fluent in English reading, writing, and speaking.
