Job Overview

This position offers a fully remote working arrangement, allowing candidates to work from anywhere within India. The work schedule is set from 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM, Monday through Friday, including a one-hour break during the shift.

Educational and Professional Requirements

Candidates should hold degrees such as B.Tech, M.Tech, BCA, or MCA.
A minimum of six years of practical experience in virtualization administration is necessary.
Experience specifically with Proxmox VE in production environments must be four years or more.

Technical Expertise

Strong Linux system administration skills, particularly with Debian/Ubuntu; familiarity with RHEL is also beneficial.
Experience working with Ceph distributed storage systems or ZFS in enterprise settings.
Proficient in shell scripting (bash) and at least one additional scripting language, preferably Python.
Hands-on experience in VM migration tasks, including physical-to-virtual (P2V) and virtual-to-virtual (V2V) conversions.
Solid understanding of networking principles including VLANs, bridging, and software-defined networking.
Knowledge and practical experience with high-availability clustering and failover arrangements.
A demonstrated ability or enthusiasm to utilize AI tools for automation and troubleshooting.

Desirable Additional Skills

Experience with VMware tools such as vSphere and ESXi, especially for migration projects.
Automation experience with Proxmox API and Terraform.
Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Ansible.
Certifications like Linux+, RHCSA, or virtualization-specific credentials are advantageous.
Understanding of container technologies, including LXC, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Candidate Eligibility

Applicants must have at least five years of relevant experience and an educational background aligned with computer science engineering disciplines.

Compensation

The annual salary range for this role is INR 3,500,000 to INR 4,000,000.
