Job Overview

The role involves supporting field surveying activities and setting out construction projects by confirming coordinates, elevations, and dimensions adhering to approved plans and project criteria.

Key Duties

• Assist in establishing survey control points, benchmarks, and reference markers.
• Perform setting-out procedures for various construction elements including buildings, roads, utilities, and infrastructure.
• Precisely measure and record coordinates, levels, distances, and angles using specialized instruments.
• Operate surveying tools such as total stations, GPS devices, and automatic levels.
• Validate site measurements and elevations against approved blueprints.
• Gather and log comprehensive field survey data.
• Support preparation of topographical maps and as-built drawings.
• Maintain and calibrate surveying equipment to ensure operational accuracy.
• Identify and report any inconsistencies between plans and actual site conditions.
• Collaborate with engineers and construction personnel regarding survey requirements.
• Adhere to health and safety standards during fieldwork.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
• Entry-level or up to 5 years of relevant experience in surveying or construction domains.
• Familiarity with total stations, GPS devices, and leveling tools.
• Preferred knowledge of AutoCAD and surveying software.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings accurately.
