About the Role
MANTECH is seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Supply Clerk to join our vehicle sustainment team based in Kaiserslautern, Germany. This position offers an opportunity to provide crucial logistics support for multiple vehicle families worldwide as part of the Allied Logistics Engineering Capabilities Sustainment (ALECS) program.
Important Note
Candidates who do not possess an active German/E.U. Work Visa will initially be hired in a temporary capacity for 60 days while they obtain the required visa. Once the E.U. Work Visa is approved, the candidate will transition to a full-time German contract. This entails compliance with German tax obligations, healthcare enrollment, and adherence to German labor regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure efficient and cost-effective inbound and outbound shipment flows.
- Coordinate routing of outbound deliveries and inbound back-hauls.
- Utilize logistics software and adhere to Department of Transportation hours of service regulations.
- Manage load efficiency and coordinate activities involving common carriers.
- Maintain and update customer databases and profiles categorized by location.
- Monitor and maintain customer delivery schedules within specified time windows.
- Track raw material inventory and distribution points for incoming and outgoing materials.
- Perform additional related tasks as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Possession or willingness to obtain an active German/E.U. Work Visa is mandatory.
- At least 2 years of relevant logistics experience complemented by a High School diploma.
- Minimum 1 year experience with Enterprise Logistics Management System (ELMS), GCSS-A or an equivalent Department of Defense system for military supply management without need for basic software training.
- Experience with data entry for supply, acquisition, inventory management, preparing equipment for shipment, and handling necessary documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to manage inventory, requisition supplies, operate material handling equipment, and use office productivity software including Microsoft Office.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and possess a valid driver’s license for the area of work, along with a high school diploma or GED and a passport valid for at least one year beyond the start date.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with military or commercial logistics supply systems, familiarity with automated and manual supply processes, and understanding equipment serviceability standards.
- Willingness to accept temporary assignments within the United States or Overseas Contingency Operations (OCONUS) as required.
Clearance Requirements
Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance before commencing employment.
Physical Requirements
- Capability to perform tasks requiring balance, bending, carrying, crouching, stretching, and kneeling.
- Ability to push, pull, and reach as part of job duties.
- Comfort working in noisy environments.
- Physical strength to lift up to 50 pounds and handle small parts.
- Proficiency in working with computers, CRT displays, and typing.
