Role overview
This position is for a seasoned supply chain leader who can shape and improve the full flow of goods and services across procurement, inventory, logistics, demand forecasting, and supplier management. The role is focused on building efficient, cost-conscious, and dependable operations while partnering with teams across the business to raise performance, strengthen resilience, and support long-term growth.
Key responsibilities
- Create and execute supply chain plans that support business goals and operational needs.
- Manage procurement, stock control, warehousing, transport, logistics, and distribution activities.
- Own demand planning, forecasting, inventory balancing, and replenishment processes.
- Develop productive partnerships with suppliers, logistics vendors, and other key external partners.
- Track performance using KPIs and introduce improvements that lift efficiency, quality, and service.
- Spot supply chain risks early and put controls in place to protect continuity and resilience.
- Work closely with procurement, operations, finance, sales, production, and customer service to streamline workflows.
- Oversee supply chain budgets, savings initiatives, and resource planning.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, quality expectations, and applicable regulatory standards.
- Review operational data and produce reports that inform strategy and ongoing improvement.
- Lead, coach, and develop team members while promoting teamwork and accountability.
- Support digital change and process improvements through supply chain tools and modern best practices.
Requirements
- Solid expertise in supply chain management, logistics, procurement, inventory control, and demand planning.
- Proven leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management capability.
- Strong strategic thinking, analysis, and problem-solving skills.
- Hands-on experience managing end-to-end supply chain operations and supplier performance.
- Comfort using ERP platforms, supply chain systems, Microsoft Excel, and business intelligence tools.
- Good understanding of warehouse, transport, and distribution operations.
- Experience handling budgets, operational metrics, and cost-optimisation efforts.
- Well-developed planning and project coordination skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
- Commercially aware, with a strong focus on efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Ability to guide cross-functional teams in a fast-moving business setting.
