Supply Chain Director

About the Role

Kinora Group is looking for an accomplished Supply Chain Director to join their dynamic team based in London. This pivotal leadership role involves taking full responsibility for the entire supply chain function, driving operational excellence and enabling the company's expansion into both established and new international markets. The position requires working onsite three days a week in a hybrid setup and offers a competitive salary ranging from £95,000 to £105,000 annually.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement a comprehensive international supply chain strategy.
• Oversee all facets of supply and demand planning, procurement, inventory management, warehousing, logistics, and customer deliveries.
• Develop and maintain a robust Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process.
• Enhance forecasting accuracy, product availability, customer service levels, and on-time in-full (OTIF) delivery performance.
• Build and sustain a strong network of reliable suppliers, manufacturing partners, and logistics providers.
• Lead commercial negotiations focusing on balancing cost, quality, service levels, capacity, and operational flexibility.
• Optimize inventory and working capital while ensuring uninterrupted supply chains.
• Identify potential risks across materials sourcing, production, warehousing, and cross-border logistics and establish mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate supply plans with manufacturing capabilities, labor resources, material availability, and customer demand forecasts.
• Support product innovation, commercialization, and market launches across diverse regions.
• Create repeatable supply chain models to facilitate expansion into new territories.
• Set clear performance metrics (KPIs) and reporting mechanisms related to costs, service quality, inventory levels, forecasting, and supplier performance.
• Drive advancements in ERP systems, forecasting tools, and supply chain planning software.
• Recruit, lead, and cultivate a high-performing internal supply chain team and external partnerships.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement, responsibility, and operational excellence throughout the supply chain function.

Candidate Profile

• Extensive senior leadership background in supply chain, operations, procurement, or planning within fast-paced manufacturing environments.
• Hands-on experience managing an end-to-end, multi-country supply chain.
• Proven ability to frame and execute scalable supply chain strategies supporting rapid growth and international market entry.
• In-depth knowledge of S&OP processes, demand and supply planning, capacity management, and inventory control.
• Demonstrated success in enhancing service standards, lowering costs, managing risks, and optimizing working capital.
• Strong commercial acumen with expertise in supplier negotiation and contract management.
• Experience in managing international logistics, including import/export operations and regional distribution models.
• Understanding of manufacturing operations including production scheduling and capacity planning.
• Track record of aiding market launches, product commercialization, and supporting growth initiatives.
• Strong analytical aptitude combined with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Background in implementing or refining ERP and supply chain planning systems.
• Ability to balance strategic oversight with practical, hands-on involvement in daily operations.
• Experience in sectors such as food, beverage, FMCG, ingredients, or consumer goods is highly advantageous, especially with outsourced or contract manufacturing setups.
