Supply Chain Consultant - UAE E-Commerce

Overview

We are looking for a knowledgeable Supply Chain Consultant with extensive expertise in the UAE e-commerce sector to support and enhance supply chain systems on a contract basis. This role involves evaluating current processes, determining operational inefficiencies, and devising actionable strategies to boost efficiency in inventory control, fulfillment, logistics, and overall operational success.

Key Responsibilities

• Examine and assess current supply chain workflows and operational performance metrics.
• Identify operational weaknesses, bottlenecks, and risks; propose feasible improvements.
• Create and execute tailored supply chain strategies specific to UAE e-commerce enterprises.
• Optimize inventory levels, replenishment methods, and demand forecasting processes.
• Evaluate warehousing, order fulfillment, last-mile delivery, and logistics to find enhancement opportunities.
• Analyze supply and demand trends to minimize stock shortages, excess inventory, and reduce costs.
• Review supplier and logistics partner relationships and processes to suggest better procurement and supplier management techniques.
• Assess effectiveness of logistics and fulfillment partners and recommend upgrades if needed.
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track supply chain efficiency and business outcomes.
• Identify ways to improve delivery speed, customer satisfaction, and order fulfillment quality.
• Provide insights into UAE-specific logistics, market trends, and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in developing scalable supply chain procedures aligned with business growth ambitions.
• Compile clear reports with findings and actionable recommendations for leadership.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to successfully implement enhancements.
• Stay informed on evolving e-commerce trends and supply chain best practices in the UAE.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of proven experience in supply chain management, logistics, operations, or consulting roles.
• Deep understanding of e-commerce supply chain operations and fulfillment workflows.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and improve supply chain processes effectively.
• Strong knowledge of inventory control, demand planning, warehousing, procurement, and logistics.
• Familiarity with the UAE logistics ecosystem and e-commerce market.
• Experience liaising with third-party logistics providers, fulfillment centers, couriers, or similar.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management abilities.
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and data analysis/reporting tools.
• Ability to independently manage multiple tasks and deliver on deadlines.

Preferred Skills

• Prior consulting experience in supply chain, logistics, or e-commerce.
• Work experience with UAE-based e-commerce companies or marketplaces.
• Knowledge of UAE customs processes, import/export, and cross-border logistics.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, warehouse and inventory management tools, e-commerce platforms.
• Experience using supply chain analytics and performance optimization software.
• Additional language skills, such as Arabic, are advantageous.
