Strategic Procurement Manager IT

About the Role

As a Strategic Procurement Manager specializing in IT, you will develop, refine, and execute procurement strategies focusing on IT hardware, software/licenses, and IT services. Your responsibilities include collaborating with departments, mainly IT, for demand planning; conducting market analyses, managing tenders, negotiating prices and contracts; and creating, managing, and maintaining framework agreements.

You will also design and implement product group and procurement strategies, proactively identify savings and optimization opportunities, oversee supplier management and master data maintenance, and handle operational order and invoice processing.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate holds a university degree, preferably in Industrial Engineering, Business Informatics, Business Law, Business Administration, or a comparable field, or an equivalent vocational qualification. A strategic, analytical, and conceptual mindset paired with reliability and commitment is essential.

You should possess extensive experience in strategic IT procurement and a deep understanding of license models, Cloud SaaS, and cybersecurity. Solid commercial legal knowledge and experience working within complex project setups are important. You should demonstrate strong initiative, negotiation, and assertiveness skills, and have proficiency in MS Office—particularly Excel—as well as presentation tools, ERP and CRM systems.

Excellent teamwork and communication abilities are required, along with fluent German and business-level English skills. Willingness to travel for work is expected.

Work Schedule
