Store Design Executive

About the Role

The Store Design Executive plays a pivotal role in shaping and overseeing store design initiatives, striving to ensure each design aligns meticulously with the brand's essence while enriching the customer's in-store experience. This position requires close collaboration across various departments, producing comprehensive design documentation, and contributing actively to project management efforts.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the conceptualization, planning, and development of store layouts and interior design schemes.
• Create precise technical drawings along with detailed documentation for millwork and fixtures, compiling complete drawing packages essential for construction.
• Develop three-dimensional design renderings and models utilizing SketchUp and V-Ray software to facilitate internal assessments, presentations, and approval processes.
• Guarantee all design outputs adhere to the brand's standards, local building codes, and specific market requirements.
• Perform meticulous reviews and refinements of design documents prior to release, ensuring consistency and quality.
• Collaborate effectively with vendors, suppliers, contractors, and internal stakeholders during design implementation stages.
• Support selection of materials and fixtures, balancing cost considerations with durability, functionality, and market relevance.
• Assist throughout the project timeline, including clarifying design details during construction and conducting evaluations after completion.

Experience & Skills Required

• Possess a Diploma or Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or an allied discipline.
• Have 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in design, with a preference for backgrounds in retail settings, commercial interiors, or hospitality sectors.
• Proficiency in critical design software tools including AutoCAD, SketchUp, and V-Ray; knowledge of 3D Max, Photoshop, Lumion, or Enscape is advantageous.
• Strong grasp of spatial planning, material selections, finishes, lighting design, and construction documentation standards.
• Exceptional attention to detail, coupled with advanced organizational, design accuracy, and file management skills.
• Capability to juggle multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrate a positive, proactive attitude with eagerness to learn and professional growth.
• Excellent communication talents with the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.
• A keen interest in retail, brand experience, consumer behavior, fashion, and emerging design trends is a desirable asset.
