Stock Unloader Associate

Overview

Become a valuable member of Walmart Canada as a Stock Unloader Associate, gaining hands-on experience in a bustling retail environment. In this position, you will be instrumental in keeping store operations flowing smoothly by unloading shipments, managing merchandise, and preparing products for the sales floor while maintaining safety and cleanliness.

Key Duties

• Prepare and reset the Receiving Area; actively unload general merchandise trailers including completing the unloading of remaining stock.
• Ensure safe handling and transportation of merchandise, maintain cold chain protocols for refrigerated and frozen goods, and move pallets to the sales floor for overnight processing.
• Assist in stocking the sales floor and provide customer support as needed to enhance the shopping experience.
• Organize and label overstock merchandise in designated storage locations for efficient inventory control.
• Adhere strictly to company safety policies by completing safety sweep logs and securing displays and fixtures to ensure a hazard-free environment.
• Maintain flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays to support business needs.

Challenges

• Manage high volume workloads in a fast-paced environment while maintaining focus and energy throughout overnight shifts.
• Perform physically demanding activities such as standing for long periods, bending, and lifting items up to 20 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Carry out repetitive duties with attention to detail to maintain store standards.

Compensation

The starting hourly wage for this role is $17.75.
