Role Overview

We are seeking a permanent full-time Stock Agent for our Charters Towers branch. The Stock Agent will serve as a trusted advisor and primary contact for livestock clients throughout the Charters Towers region, collaborating with local producers and the branch team.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and nurture strong service-oriented relationships with livestock clients.
• Organize and execute on-farm livestock evaluations and prepare sale listings.
• Manage livestock sales via auctions, paddock sales, feedlot programs, and online markets.
• Offer clients accurate market evaluations and price guidance.
• Spot opportunities to cross-sell products like finance, insurance, retail goods, and agency services.
• Stay well-informed on current livestock market trends and seasonal influences.

Candidate Profile

• Experience in livestock handling, such as station or feedlot roles, or in sales processing.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
• Capability to accurately assess livestock condition and market value.
• Holders of a current driver's license and livestock selling license or willingness to acquire them.
• Passion for rural communities and the agricultural sector.
• Proof of Q-Fever vaccination or immunity, or willingness to obtain it.
