Position Summary

The SAP Master Data Steward role entails overseeing the company’s data assets to guarantee their accuracy, reliability, and availability throughout their entire lifecycle. This position collaborates with Operations, Supply Chain, and IT teams to ensure data integrity in downstream systems and troubleshoot data inconsistencies. The Steward acts as a data custodian, focusing on raising data awareness, ensuring accessibility, managing releases, and enforcing governance practices.

Work Location and Hours

This role is based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India with remote work options. Shift timing is from 4:30 PM to 1:30 AM IST.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement processes for data collection, reporting, and quality assurance, coordinating with PLM Master Data Steward for source information and generating SAP-specific master data.
• Identify data quality issues proactively, conduct root cause analysis, resolve problems, and recommend systemic solutions to prevent recurrence.
• Promote best practices in data management and empower data owners through training and effective communication.
• Ensure adherence to governance policies and data management procedures.
• Lead the establishment and ongoing enhancement of master data governance frameworks and scalable workflow solutions.
• Manage data requirements throughout system upgrades, new integrations, and changes in data models, including participation in user acceptance testing.
• Identify process automation and improvement opportunities, collaborating with IT and Operations to pilot and implement solutions.

Requirements

• 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience managing SAP Material Master Data, with a proven record of identifying process inefficiencies and implementing enhancements.
• Bachelor’s degree is mandatory.
• Preferably background in the beauty industry, retail sector, or product lifecycle management.
• Strong verbal and written communication capabilities.
• Exceptional analytical abilities, attention to detail, and diligence in follow-up activities.
• Capable of working independently across departments to meet deadlines and drive completion of tasks.
• Experience in system implementation is advantageous.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
