About MetalBear and the Role

MetalBear is a remote-first, seed-stage startup backed by top-tier venture capitalists, rapidly scaling with a team sourced from leading technology companies. The company is at a pivotal stage transitioning from early traction to ambitious global expansion. We are searching for a versatile technologist to join as Solutions Engineer for the APAC region. This is an exceptional opportunity to establish and lead a customer-facing function from scratch, shaping our go-to-market approach, ensuring technical customer success, and defining outstanding developer experiences for users of mirrord.

Key Responsibilities

Take ownership of the full technical engagement lifecycle: conduct product demonstrations, manage Proof-of-Concepts (POCs), advise customers on system architecture, and facilitate smooth production deployments.
Drive customer onboarding and long-term engagement to guarantee effective adoption of mirrord and sustainable value delivery.
Serve as a trusted technical advisor by thoroughly understanding client needs, diagnosing technical challenges, and guiding best practices for cloud-native infrastructure.
Collaborate across teams including Sales, Product, and Engineering to influence product development and roadmap decisions.
Build scalable operational assets such as playbooks, documentation, and processes to support rapid regional growth.
Act as the Voice of the Customer by collecting and relaying actionable insights to continuously improve the product and developer experience.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in fast-paced, high-performance environments such as startups, scale-ups, or hyper-growth companies.
Strong technical expertise with hands-on experience in cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure, familiarity with modern infrastructure technologies like Kubernetes and microservices, and competency in coding/readability of code.
Demonstrated success or high potential in client-facing technical roles such as Solutions Engineering, Customer Success, or Pre-Sales engineering.
Self-motivated individual who excels in ambiguous, rapidly evolving environments with limited supervision.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills capable of engaging both technical and business stakeholders effectively.
Highly organized and detail-focused with the ability to balance both tactical execution and strategic planning.
Preferred: Experience in quota-driven pre-sales or customer success roles related to developer tooling or cloud infrastructure.
