Role Overview

In this position, you will oversee customer infrastructure monitoring environments. The role also involves designing and automating new monitoring solutions and connecting them with systems such as CMDB platforms and auto-ticketing tools.

Responsibilities

• Install, operate, and support monitoring applications as well as the related system environment.
• Create, refine, and maintain custom monitoring scripts and checks.
• Support automation initiatives and related improvements.

Candidate Skills

• Strong scripting knowledge in Bash, Python, or Perl; PowerShell knowledge is an added advantage.
• Solid experience with Linux system administration.
• Familiarity with automation tools such as Ansible and Puppet.
• Good grasp of networking fundamentals.
• Strong understanding of ITIL processes, including incident, problem, and change management.

Core Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in managed services.
• At least 5 years of scripting experience.
• Ability to work with multiple IT components such as servers, networking, storage, and backup systems.
• Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.

Desirable Experience

• Exposure to monitoring platforms such as Xymon, Nagios, or similar tools.
• Background in virtualization and cloud environments.
• Awareness of web development concepts.
• Knowledge of C or C++ programming is beneficial.
