Software Engineer - Java

Role Overview

The Software Engineer position focuses on designing and maintaining robust data pipelines to support high-quality data collection. This role involves close coordination with data analysts and IT teams to ensure data accuracy and reliability. The successful candidate will join a global Software Engineering team providing round-the-clock development and support.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and manage data feeds by integrating data from multiple vendors and applying necessary data transformations, with active coding involvement.
• Champion and implement development best practices, modern frameworks, and innovative technologies to streamline business operations.
• Develop, maintain, and support web applications and APIs, guaranteeing their reliability and assisting users with technical issues.
• Follow best standards for task estimation, planning, reporting, and continuous process enhancement.
• Automate repetitive tasks to improve operational efficiency wherever possible.
• Document internal processes and framework implementations thoroughly for future reference.

Educational and Professional Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related disciplines.
• 0-2 years of experience as a Software Engineer or similar role.

Technical Expertise

• Proficient in core Java programming and using the Spring framework.
• Experience with Oracle databases and SQL querying.
• Capable of handling complex data models effectively.
• Familiarity with automation tools and process improvement techniques to optimize software development.
• Working knowledge of ETL processes and data warehousing is advantageous.
• Good command over version control systems like git.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud for deployment and management of data-centric solutions is beneficial.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, particularly tools like Jenkins.
