Role Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic Backend Engineer to join our dynamic team. You will work on clusters of backend services and machine learning pipelines, requiring initiative to identify challenges, and the skills and mindset to resolve them effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and enhance product features primarily in Go language, improving availability, scalability, responsiveness, and efficiency of our digital banking services.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to explore, design, and implement new scalable, high-performance system architectures.
  • Participate in rigorous code and design reviews to uphold exemplary development standards.
  • Contribute to service capacity planning, demand forecasting, performance analysis, and optimization activities.
  • Work closely with product and user experience teams to define, prototype, and refine feature specifications.
  • Team up with infrastructure engineers to build, scale backend services, and perform root cause analyses on production issues.
  • Design, develop, and troubleshoot large-scale system applications.
  • Learn and apply techniques for full stack performance tuning and optimization.
  • Debug and update complex production software to ensure stability and continuous improvements.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or closely related fields with a solid foundation in algorithms and data structures.
  • 2 to 5 years of professional experience in software engineering, particularly in distributed systems.
  • Strong communication skills, sharp analytical capability, proven system design experience, and a critical mindset regarding system scalability and reliability.
  • Proficiency in coding with any programming language such as C++, Java, Scala, Rust, Python, Ruby, PHP, Node.js, C#, etc., along with a willingness to work primarily in Golang.
