Location and Employment Details

This full-time position is based in Khamis Mushait, Saudi Arabia (postcode 4332). It is a permanent role requiring on-site work within the multidisciplinary team (MDT) at Diaverum.

Role Overview

As a social worker on this team, you will support hemodialysis patients encompassing diverse demographic profiles such as variations in gender, age, education, medical background, and psychosocial conditions. The organization provides extensive training aimed at enhancing your professional growth, clinical proficiency, and behavioral skills. You will engage directly with patients to deliver high-quality care focused on improving their treatment experience. Additionally, there are opportunities to participate in advancing the Social Care department through initiatives including research projects.

Primary Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide psychosocial assistance, promote health education, and guide lifestyle adjustments.
• Deliver consistent, precise, and comprehensive social care services involving patient screening, assessments, diagnoses, counseling interventions, record-keeping, and ongoing monitoring and evaluation.
• Apply international best practices concerning patient satisfaction and quality of life to enrich patients' overall experiences.
• Comply with Diaverum’s national and international regulations and quality standards, including medical Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), Joint Commission International (JCI) requirements, and all relevant local social care regulations.

Reporting Structure

You will report directly to The Clinic Manager and the Head of Social Care.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Certification as a Social Worker accredited by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS).
• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work; a Master’s degree in Social Work is an advantage.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply; however, 1-2 years of social care experience within clinical or hospital environments is preferred.
• Experience in clinical specialties such as renal care, diabetes, and hypertension is considered beneficial.
• Fluency in Arabic with basic proficiency in English is necessary.
• Proficient computer skills with advanced capabilities in Microsoft Office applications.
