About Media A La Carte
Media A La Carte is a boutique social media firm focused on organic social media, content creation, and paid social advertising for clients in luxury beauty, wellness, jewelry, and alcohol sectors. Founded by women, the team values a supportive work environment that blends serious dedication with a fun and stylish company culture.
Work Logistics and Schedule
This is a full-time role based in New York City with a hybrid schedule. The usual in-office days are Tuesday and Wednesday, while Monday, Thursday, and Friday are remote. Additional in-person attendance may be required for client content shoots. Working hours are from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Position Overview
The Social Media Manager will report to the Account Director and is responsible for developing and executing top-tier social media strategies that drive results for assigned clients. This role demands creativity in copywriting, strong aesthetic skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to managing multiple client accounts.
Primary Responsibilities
- Launch, grow, and oversee client social media channels, ensuring timely achievement of goals.
- Lead social and content strategy, editorial planning, and client deliverables simultaneously for multiple clients.
- Manage projects including content calendars, copywriting, client communications, and content creation processes.
- Craft error-free, brand-appropriate short-form copy.
- Create visually compelling Instagram grids and engaging scroll-stopping reels.
- Utilize tools such as Later, Google Drive, Slack, and ClickUp daily.
- Stay informed on social media trends through purposeful content consumption.
- Use data and experimentation to enhance and report on social media performance.
- Coordinate with internal teams to advocate for client priorities and deliver high-quality content.
- Communicate effectively with clients, ensuring personalized and timely responses.
- Meet deadlines consistently and manage workload efficiently.
- Analyze social media data to monitor performance and develop improvement plans.
- Support internal marketing initiatives for both Media A La Carte and Studio A La Carte brands.
- Promptly respond to team communications during work hours.
- Track tasks and time accurately using approved software tools.
- Participate in meetings and training to enhance digital marketing skills.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of one year experience working in social media within an agency environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Social Media, PR, Communications, or a related discipline.
- Strong enthusiasm for digital marketing and storytelling through social content.
- Proficiency managing accounts on Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, and TikTok.
- Capability to produce grammatically correct, brand-specific short copy.
- Experience using Canva and CapCut; familiarity with Adobe products is advantageous.
- Comfortable appearing on camera and engaging with current social media trends.
- Experience or willingness to learn paid social advertising strategies.
- Detail-oriented with commitment to error-free content delivery.
- Adept at maintaining brand guidelines while innovating creative content.
- Autonomous work style with minimal oversight needed.
- Skilled in balancing multiple brand identities simultaneously.
- Familiarity with email marketing is a bonus.
- Experience with social media scheduling tools like Later, Planoly, or Hootsuite.
- Experience with project management software such as ClickUp, Mondays, or Asana.

Compensation and Benefits
The role offers a starting salary of $50,000 annually. Benefits for full-time employees include:
- Hybrid work setup with 2-3 days in-office and remainder remote.
- Three weeks paid time off plus paid holidays (10 federal holidays).

- Early release on Summer Fridays between Memorial Day and Labor Day.
