Job description

About Prizecart

Prizecart is an innovative Australian shopping platform where users can win instant prizes by shopping at their favorite stores. By collecting set pieces through purchases, users unlock real cash rewards. Partnering with over 250 brands ranging from well-known names to rapidly growing online retailers, Prizecart offers a unique shopping and winning experience.

Operating as a small and agile team, employees work directly alongside the founders with fast turnaround times on content and initiatives.

Role Overview

This part-time position (20 hours weekly) focuses on managing Prizecart's TikTok, Instagram (Reels and Stories), and YouTube Shorts channels end-to-end. The role involves creating, editing, publishing, and engaging with audiences via comments and direct messages. The emphasis is on fast-paced content creation and virality rather than long-term strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and own the weekly content calendar for TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts.
  • Write engaging hooks and scripts; personally shoot and edit short-form videos, primarily using a phone for quick production.
  • Turn Prizecart's product moments such as prize drops, winner reveals, and new brand partnerships into captivating content.
  • Monitor successful trends within the Australian shopping, deals, and money-saving niche on TikTok and adapt relevant formats.
  • Handle community interactions by responding promptly and thoughtfully to comments and direct messages, building trust and addressing queries about authenticity.
  • Collaborate with creators and brand partners to repurpose content for Prizecart's channels.
  • Coordinate joint posts and tagging efforts with brand partners in partnership with the team.
  • Provide straightforward weekly reporting on content published, its performance, and opportunities for expansion.

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven hands-on experience managing social media accounts for brands, creators, or personal projects, supported by demonstrable results.
  • Competent in editing short-form video using tools like CapCut; film school expertise is not necessary.
  • Strong awareness of current Australian short-form video trends and successful formats.
  • Excellent instincts for crafting captivating hooks that capture attention within the first two seconds.
  • Comfortable appearing on camera or confident in directing talent to achieve optimal results.
  • Good judgment in public interactions, especially considering the financial and promotional nature of posts that may attract skepticism.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Desirable: experience with e-commerce, cashback platforms, fintech, or promotions.

Additional Information

The target audience for the platform ranges mainly from 18 to 35 years old with a female skew, so familiarity with this demographic is important. Joining Prizecart offers the chance to contribute creatively within an early-stage, growing startup environment.
