Role Purpose
The Site Services Skilled Labourer will support various site activities at the Coffee Project including site services, construction, logistics, maintenance, and camp operations, ensuring safe, effective, and productive workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute all tasks in compliance with Talamore Mining's Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.
- Identify hazards, report them promptly, and help mitigate workplace risks.
- Participate actively in daily safety meetings, site inspections, risk evaluations, and incident investigations.
- Maintain all mandatory certifications, skills, and training requirements.
- Assist in constructing, maintaining, and repairing project infrastructure and facilities.
- Keep work areas tidy, well-organized, and safe at all times.
- Support camp functions, warehouse operations, material handling, and freight coordination as necessary.
- Perform additional duties assigned to meet project demands.
Qualifications and Experience
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent credential.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving history.
- Capability to secure and maintain necessary site access credentials.
- WHMIS certification or willingness to obtain it.
- Standard First Aid and CPR certification is preferable.
- Experience operating light machinery is an asset.
- Background in mining, construction, heavy civil, industrial, or remote camp environments is advantageous.
- Compliance with Talamore Mining's drug and alcohol policies and site access rules is mandatory.
- Minimum two years of relevant work experience in labor, construction, industrial, mining, or site services roles.
Skills and Attributes
- Demonstrated dedication to health, safety, and environmental best practices.
- Proficient in using hand and power tools, as well as basic equipment safely.
- Knowledge and experience in material handling, site maintenance, housekeeping, and snow removal.
- Strong work ethic with capacity to work independently and collaboratively.
- Mechanical aptitude combined with problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal capabilities.
- Ability to adapt swiftly in a dynamic project environment.
- Experience coordinating with contractors and diverse teams.
- Understanding of mining, construction, or camp operations is beneficial.
- Willingness and ability to work in varied weather and site conditions.
Physical and Work Conditions
- Physical ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift as job demands require.
- Work outdoors under diverse weather conditions.
- Capability to safely climb on and off heavy equipment.
- Flexibility to work extended hours, including shifts and weekends.
- Role location is the Coffee Creek Project in Yukon Territory, Canada.
- The role is remote-based with preference for candidates residing in Yukon.
- Schedule follows a rotation of two weeks on-site and two weeks off, with 12-hour workdays.
Compensation
Salary ranges from $70,000 to $90,000 annually.
