Overview
This role involves leading physical security operations at a prominent office location within a rapidly expanding technology company based in the United States. The Site Security Manager will be responsible for overseeing security initiatives to protect employees, assets, and ensure regulatory compliance, while fostering a secure workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct daily physical security activities to maintain a safe, secure, and professional workplace for employees, visitors, and property.
- Create, execute, and enhance security policies, procedures, and training tailored to the site, aligning with organizational standards and local legal requirements.
- Manage security technology systems including CCTV, access control, alarms, and monitoring operations, ensuring prompt incident response and escalation processes.
- Perform consistent risk evaluations, security audits, and inspections to identify vulnerabilities and drive remediation efforts.
- Act as the main contact for law enforcement, emergency services, property management, and external bodies during incidents or crises.
- Lead investigations into security breaches, develop detailed reports, and implement corrective actions to strengthen site safety.
- Oversee third-party security vendors and contractors, coaching onsite security staff to uphold service excellence and operational standards.
- Collaborate cross-departmentally with Facilities, IT, People Operations, Legal, and leadership to support business continuity and enterprise security goals.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience managing physical security within corporate, technology, infrastructure, or government sectors.
- Proven leadership managing vendors, contractors, and onsite security personnel.
- Comprehensive understanding of physical security methodologies, risk management, emergency preparedness, and pertinent US, California, and San Francisco laws.
- Practical familiarity with CCTV, surveillance, alarms, and electronic access control technologies.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to assess risks and implement solutions effectively.
- Ability to remain composed during emergencies and sensitive investigations.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills, including incident reporting and executive briefings.
- Capability to foster collaborative relationships and promote a proactive security environment across departments.
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive salary ranging from $107,100 to $133,800 annually, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
