Site Engineer – Solar PV

About the Role

Linnk Group is recruiting a Site Engineer specialized in Solar Photovoltaic (PV) projects for a premier client in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time onsite role offers an annual renewable contract and is focused on overseeing and ensuring the successful execution of Solar PV construction projects adhering to timelines, safety, quality, and environmental standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction and commissioning phases of Solar PV projects at the site.
• Manage daily operations to guarantee compliance with schedule, quality standards, and safety regulations.
• Collaborate closely with contractors, consultants, and project teams to resolve issues and coordinate activities.
• Examine engineering drawings to identify and resolve technical challenges encountered on-site.
• Support testing, commissioning efforts, and facilitate project handover processes.
• Ensure strict adherence to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and project specifications.
• Maintain detailed site progress reports and comprehensive project documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Renewable Energy, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
• Demonstrated 3 to 5 years experience in Solar PV construction and commissioning projects.
• Exposure to MW-scale rooftop, ground-mounted, tracking, and carport solar PV installations.
• Sound understanding of medium voltage (MV) and low voltage (LV) electrical systems.
• Proficient in software tools such as PVSyst, Helioscope, AutoCAD, and MS Project.
• Valid Saudi Arabia driving license is mandatory.
• Fluency in English and Arabic languages is required.
