Role Overview

As a Solutions Engineer focusing on Confluent technologies, you will play a key role in both the early stages of the sales process and the ongoing realization of value for clients, assisting them in advancing through their adoption journey. Partnering closely with Account Executives, you will act as a primary technical consultant to clients by identifying explicit and implicit business requirements and devising technical solutions that address those needs. Responsibilities include facilitating visionary discussions to inspire adoption of novel solutions and devising innovative approaches to overcome technical challenges. Ultimately, you will be an essential member of the Customer Success Team, promoting continuous client success and incremental adoption of Confluent's products.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive new data streaming initiatives from concept through to production deployment.
• Lead and execute technical Proofs of Concept to showcase feasibility and value.
• Facilitate discovery sessions and collaborative whiteboard workshops to uncover new use cases.
• Deliver technical leadership by giving talks and conducting workshops.
• Assist clients with practical guidance and best practices to enhance operational maturity in their Confluent deployments.
• Analyze customer usage trends to pinpoint areas ripe for optimization.
• Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering teams, acting as a product champion across customers, partners, and the broader industry ecosystem.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key client stakeholders, serving as a trusted technical advisor.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Solutions Engineering or a related technical role.
• Proficient understanding of Event-Driven architectures, Data Integration and Processing methodologies, as well as Database and Data Warehouse technologies.
• Hands-on experience with Cloud Architectures, including migrations, deployments, and application development.
• Familiarity with automation frameworks, GitOps practices, and Kubernetes orchestration.
• Programming skills in Java, Python, or SQL.
• Relevant technical certifications such as Cloud Developer/Architect or Data Engineering and Integration credentials.
• A proactive, self-driven approach to learning and problem-solving with complex technical challenges.
• Strong communication and presentation skills that resonate with audiences ranging from developers to enterprise architects and senior executives (C-level).
• Solid knowledge of event-driven systems specifically Kafka and Flink.

Preferred Experience

• Fluency in both Arabic and English languages.
