Senior Python Automation Tester - Playwright & Wi-Fi Testing

Position Overview

LTIMindtree, a global digital transformation leader, seeks a highly skilled Senior Test Automation Engineer specializing in Playwright automation, Python scripting, and Wi-Fi product testing for its Perungudi, Chennai location. This role is critical to ensuring premium quality in broadband, networking, and Wi-Fi solutions through comprehensive automated testing and issue resolution.

Core Responsibilities

• Build and sustain scalable automation frameworks using Playwright and Python.
• Design and run automated test suites targeting web applications, network devices, and Wi-Fi platforms.
• Develop detailed test plans, cases, and scripts supporting new features and updates.
• Conduct functional, end-to-end, performance, and durability testing.
• Thoroughly analyze product issues and customer-reported bugs to identify root causes and suggest solutions.
• Collaborate closely with product development, QA, and customer support to understand system architecture and validate functionalities.
• Drive improvements in test automation coverage and quality assurance measures across product releases.
• Adhere strictly to quality standards, testing processes, and industry best practices.
• Take ownership of technical problem-solving and coordinate effectively between customers and engineering teams.

Essential Skills and Expertise

• Automation Testing: Proficiency with Playwright automation framework and expert-level Python scripting skills.
• Experience in creating and maintaining Page Object Model (POM) frameworks.
• Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes related to automated testing.
• Experience in cross-browser and end-to-end automated test execution.
• Wi-Fi & Broadband: In-depth understanding of Wi-Fi technologies including Wi-Fi basics, Wi-Fi mesh network architecture, TR-98, TR-369 standards.
• Hands-on validation, debugging, and troubleshooting of Wi-Fi and broadband products, including Agent and Controller testing.
• Networking: Knowledge spanning TCP/IP protocol suite, Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking concepts, network packet analysis, and troubleshooting.
• Additional Technologies: Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP; familiarity with microservices architecture, containerization using Docker and Kubernetes, and Linux environments.

Eligibility and Qualifications

Candidates must possess a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) or Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in any specialization, with relevant test automation experience.

Location and Employment Conditions

This is a full-time position based at LTIMindtree's office in Perungudi, Chennai. Candidates should be available to join with a notice period ranging from immediate availability up to 45 days.
