About the Role
Join a globally recognized professional services firm as a Senior Manager specializing in Data Governance within the AI & Data business area. This permanent full-time position, based in Waterford, Ireland, offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects across multiple industries, focusing on helping clients leverage data analytics to transform and enhance their businesses. The role involves developing and implementing enterprise-level data governance frameworks, policies, and strategic roadmaps tailored to organizational needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate within multi-disciplinary teams to assist clients in using analytics for business transformation.
- Establish data governance frameworks encompassing policies, standards, and procedures.
- Develop roadmaps and strategic priorities to build strong, organization-wide data capabilities.
- Advise and support clients in creating and enforcing effective data management policies.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities leveraging clients’ data assets for efficiency gains.
- Lead teams managing data governance projects utilizing robust tools to sanitize, store, and manipulate data.
- Design data quality frameworks to improve data accuracy across key domains and processes.
- Engage with partners and directors to recognize and act on potential business opportunities.
- Build and nurture internal and external professional relationships.
- Develop secure, efficient data handling and analysis procedures addressing technical requirements.
- Set data sharing rules and protocols involving senior management and stakeholders.
- Guide clients in aligning with emerging data regulations and technological advancements.
- Contribute to thought leadership by applying industry knowledge to craft innovative commercial insights.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in a relevant field.
- More than seven years of experience in data governance and data management.
- Familiarity with data governance technologies such as Collibra, Alation, Informatica, or similar.
- Proven experience in people management and team leadership.
- Strong communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts in accessible language.
- Demonstrated ability to oversee project budgets, scope, timelines, deliverables, and manage expectations effectively.
- Professionalism and agility to thrive in dynamic and diverse client environments.
- Passion for contributing to team growth and advancing the Data Analytics practice.
- Relevant certifications in Data Governance or Data Management (e.g., DAMA, EDMC) are advantageous.
