About the Role
Dagen is looking for a seasoned and innovative Senior Human Resources Manager to join our growing team in Arlington, VA. This role is pivotal in shaping the organization's people strategies and reporting directly to the Vice President of Human Resources. Positioned in close proximity to the C-suite, particularly outside the CHRO's office, this highly visible role involves direct interaction with company executives and requires a high level of professionalism and expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary HR contact for the Arlington office.
- Provide coaching and guidance to leaders and employees on employee relations, conduct internal workplace investigations, and offer well-considered resolutions.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and advise on related matters.
- Oversee the employee lifecycle including onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures that comply with federal and local laws while fostering a positive organizational culture.
- Lead and implement company-wide HR initiatives.
- Manage the performance evaluation system, including conducting reviews, disciplinary documentation, and performance improvement plans.
- Lead the HR team and act as the primary escalation point.
Qualifications
- At least ten years of experience as a Human Resources generalist with a passion for the field.
- Familiarity with US and/or global SHRM/PHR certifications is advantageous.
- Proficiency with modern HR technologies including ATS and HRIS platforms, preferably Workday.
- Strong organizational skills capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail.
- A collaborative and empathetic approach, building and maintaining strong relationships.
- A commitment to continuous self-improvement and openness to feedback.
- Adaptable, creative in problem-solving, balancing global system needs with the diversity of the workforce.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to coach others in effective communication.
