About the Role

Join AECOM in Doha, Qatar, as a Senior Fire Safety Manager responsible for directing all aspects of fire safety management. Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain thorough fire safety programs aligned with Qatar's regulations and international standards.
• Oversee fire and life safety compliance through design, construction, inspection, testing, and commissioning phases.
• Ensure conformity with QCD, NFPA codes, project specifications, and airport fire safety rules.
• Monitor fire safety infrastructure including suppression systems, fire stopping, evacuation paths, and life safety provisions.
• Coordinate fire safety integration with architectural, MEP, special systems, operational teams, and regulatory authorities.
• Support inspections, testing, approvals, and system closeouts for fire and life safety installations.
• Lead emergency preparedness, including planning and conducting fire drills.
• Investigate fire-related incidents and near misses, document outcomes, and implement preventive actions.
• Manage and train fire safety personnel, providing performance feedback and guidance.
• Prepare comprehensive fire safety reports for senior management and regulatory bodies.
• Maintain compliance with local fire codes, building regulations, and occupational health and safety standards.
• Collaborate with external agencies such as fire departments and safety consultants to enhance protocols.
• Stay updated with evolving fire safety legislation and regional best practices.

Candidate Profile

• At least 12 years of progressive experience in fire safety management or equivalent safety fields.
• Technical expertise in fire suppression, detection, and alarm systems.
• In-depth knowledge of fire safety codes, building regulations, and occupational health requirements relevant to Qatar and the Middle East.
• Experience performing fire risk assessments, hazard analyses, and safety inspections.
• Skilled in emergency response planning and accident investigation.
• Proven leadership abilities with experience mentoring and managing teams.
• Advanced capability in fire safety documentation, reporting, and data interpretation.
• Strong analytical mindset with meticulous attention to detail.
• Fluency in English with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Project management competence to handle multiple concurrent initiatives.
• Certified Fire Protection Specialist or similar professional certification preferred.
• Experience in managing fire safety at large-scale industrial, commercial, or institutional sites.
• Familiarity with international fire safety standards.
• Proficient in safety management software and Microsoft Office tools.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-disciplinary teams and regulatory authorities.
