Senior Director, Retail Store Operations

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the retail operations team by establishing strategy and planning projects to execute key initiatives.
• Champion the omni-channel approach to ensure a seamless customer experience integrating online and physical stores.
• Manage and improve store communications, innovating effective communication methods.
• Coordinate retail workload scheduling in partnership with internal departments.
• Direct the workforce management team to enhance efficiencies in store scheduling, payroll forecasting, reporting, and manage commission and incentive programs.
• Collaborate with corporate compensation to develop strategic pay programs aligned with omni-channel growth.
• Partner with IT and digital departments to support and innovate store systems and technology.
• Serve as the main communication link between corporate overhead and retail stores, ensuring timely, consistent, and brand-aligned messages, escalating issues as needed.
• Oversee real estate efforts, including store openings, expansions, relocations, and closures.
• Work with Learning & Development to support onboarding and training initiatives to boost customer service and store productivity.
• Manage the field operations team to ensure compliance with back-of-house standards through training and visits.
• Drive consistency and operational excellence in back-of-house store standards across all locations.
• Collaborate with finance to optimize cost efficiencies and manage expenses.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in retail or in-store operations, with expertise in field operations, workforce management, and communications.
• Prior retail experience is required.
• Strong organizational, project management, and time management aptitude to drive initiatives from concept to execution.
• Excellent analytical and quantitative skills with high attention to detail.
• Effective communication, critical thinking, and presentation capabilities, with proficiency in both verbal and written directions.
