Senior Cost Control Manager

Job Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Senior Cost Control Manager to oversee and direct all cost control functions for extensive Oil & Gas and Power Plant projects. The ideal candidate will spearhead the design, execution, and supervision of comprehensive cost control systems to guarantee adherence to budgetary constraints while upholding superior standards of financial reporting and governance.

Key Duties

• Guide and supervise all cost control activities throughout the project lifecycle, from initiation through to closure.
• Create, track, and analyze project budgets, forecasts, cash flows, and cost documentation.
• Assess project progress compared to approved budgets to detect and address cost deviations.
• Establish procedures, systems, and tools tailored to cost control and reporting needs.
• Collaborate closely with project management, planning, procurement, engineering, and finance departments.
• Evaluate contractor billing, change orders, and claims for variations.
• Compile monthly financial reports, including earned value analysis and presentations for management.
• Assist with project risk evaluations and suggest strategies for cost reduction.
• Ensure adherence to corporate policies, contract terms, and industry-leading practices.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related fields.
• At least 15 years of expertise in project cost control with a minimum of 5 years in managerial capacity.
• Essential experience in Oil & Gas and Power Plant/EPC projects.
• Robust knowledge in cost management, budgeting, forecasting, and earned value management methodologies.
• Skilled in Primavera P6, SAP, Microsoft Excel, and specialized cost control software applications.
• Strong analytical capabilities, leadership qualities, communication proficiency, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Preference given to candidates with experience on large-scale EPC or industrial projects within the GCC region.

Preferred Certifications

• Professional certifications such as PMP, CCP, or equivalent are considered a plus.
