About the Role
Lawson Delaney is recruiting for an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to join a dynamic and expanding professional accounting services firm in Melbourne. The successful candidate will support the Head of Bookkeeping by managing daily bookkeeping activities across a diverse portfolio of business clients. This role suits a bookkeeping enthusiast eager to advance their career within a supportive and progressive team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle end-to-end payroll processing including payroll tax.
- Oversee job budgets and timesheets management.
- Prepare and submit monthly and quarterly BAS returns.
- Compile and review monthly financial reports.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable activities.
Required Experience and Skills
- Minimum of three years’ bookkeeping experience, preferably within an accounting or bookkeeping firm.
- Recent and relevant payroll experience, especially understanding awards and their payroll applications.
- Proficiency in XERO and MYOB accounting software.
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience preparing and reviewing BAS statements, profit and loss reports, cash flow statements, and balance sheets.
