Security Supervisor

Job Overview

The Security Supervisor role at Qatar Airways involves overseeing CCTV operators in a dynamic control room setting to assure compliance with local laws and Qatar Duty Free (QDF) policies. The position focuses on detecting and preventing unlawful activities, theft, damages, and maintaining a safe environment throughout QDF locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and evaluate the performance of CCTV operators in accordance with defined responsibilities and expectations.
• Manage security and safety incidents across all QDF premises during your shift, ensuring prompt escalation, communication, and resolution aligned with company protocols.
• Develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships with external authorities including police, Ministry of Interior, immigration, Qatar Airways security, and airport security to safeguard personnel, assets, and products.
• Engage with all QDF departments such as retail, food and beverage, warehouse, to enforce adherence to safety and security directives; escalate any health, safety, or procedural violations accordingly.
• Coordinate with QDF duty managers, supervisors, cash office teams, and contracted security to address and report security matters effectively.
• Monitor security standards of QDF staff and contractors to uphold protection against illegal interference, theft, damage, or negligence, guided by Senior Vice President and Senior Manager directives.
• Produce comprehensive security handover and shift reports encapsulating all relevant safety and security information.
• Address security concerns arising within 24/7 operations, providing clear briefings and communication throughout the shift.
• Assist in supervising contracted guarding services to ensure compliance with QDF criteria.
• Conduct routine supervisory patrols to verify the integrity and security of QDF facilities.
• Validate adherence to security and safety policies across sites, escalating breaches to the Security Officer or Manager.
• Support monitoring and investigation of point-of-sale activities and fraud management systems; escalate issues of non-compliance or integrity to the appropriate security leads.
• Liaise with the Ministry of Interior and Qatar Airways security on theft cases, ensuring proper tracking and resolution per company guidelines.
• Promptly report any control room system faults for corrective measures.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum educational qualifications: High School Diploma/Vocational Diploma with at least 3 years of relevant experience, or Bachelor’s Degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Proven experience in supervising teams or groups.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
• Fluency in spoken and written English.
• Comprehensive understanding of CCTV and access control technologies.
• Strong knowledge of security operations and protocols.
• Effective report writing capabilities.
• Demonstrated integrity with strict confidentiality.
• Familiarity with retail operations environment.
