Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated and dependable professional to join our Marrar branch team. This role involves supporting branch operations administratively while driving sales of our agricultural merchandise. You will interact closely with farmers and primary producers, ensuring a positive experience both in-person and by phone.
Key Responsibilities
- Offer comprehensive administrative support including accounts payable, expenses management, banking, stock control, ordering, and merchandise receipts.
- Maintain accurate financial and customer accounts, managing receivables follow-up.
- Handle inventory activities, including stocktakes, replenishment, and processing.
- Provide assistance to customers regarding pricing, product information, and general inquiries.
- Process sales transactions and support the wider sales team.
- Organize and execute on-farm deliveries as needed.
- Contribute to merchandising efforts, ensuring appealing stock presentation and store displays.
- Keep the store environment clean, safe, and well-organized inside and outside.
- Support store upkeep tasks, including cleaning, delivery handling, packing, and unpacking.
- Adhere to and promote safety procedures within the branch.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
- Experience supporting teams in dynamic work settings and strong dedication to Australian agriculture.
- Proactive and willing to engage hands-on with various branch functions.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision within a small team.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to foster strong customer relationships.
- Effective problem-solving abilities and a customer-centric approach.
- Motivation to identify and enhance internal processes.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite including Excel, Word, Outlook, and aptitude in learning new systems swiftly.
- Valid driver's license is mandatory; forklift and MR truck licenses are desirable or willingness to obtain.
