Sales Executive

Job summary

This position is focused on building business for manpower outsourcing and staffing services across both public and private sector accounts. The executive will identify prospects, pursue tender-led and direct opportunities, nurture client partnerships, and support revenue growth.

Key responsibilities

• Create new business opportunities for manpower outsourcing, staffing, facility management, housekeeping, security, payroll, and recruitment offerings.
• Reach out to government offices, PSUs, corporations, industrial clients, hospitals, schools/colleges, and private businesses to explore potential deals.
• Build and sustain relationships with decision-makers and procurement teams.
• Track government procurement channels such as GeM, Eproc2, and state e-tender platforms, and work with the tender team on relevant opportunities.
• Draft presentations, proposals, quotations, and commercial responses for clients.
• Attend client meetings, site visits, and service demonstrations to understand business needs.
• Discuss pricing and commercial terms, then close agreements while protecting margins.
• Work closely with operations and HR teams so manpower can be deployed smoothly after an order is secured.
• Keep in touch with existing accounts to maintain satisfaction and uncover cross-sell opportunities.
• Deliver monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales goals.
• Update sales pipelines, MIS reports, and client data in CRM or other reporting tools.
• Track market movement, competitor activity, and changes in government procurement rules.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or another relevant field is needed.
• Applicants should have 1 to 3 years of experience in B2B sales, staffing, manpower outsourcing, facility management, or related service sales.
• Prior exposure to government departments, PSUs, or corporate clients is preferred.
• Knowledge of GeM, government procurement, and tender-driven business is an advantage.
• Strong skills in communication, negotiation, presentations, and relationship management are required.
• Comfort with MS Office and CRM systems is expected.
• The role requires willingness to travel frequently for meetings and business development work.

Preferred skills

• Established network with government bodies, PSUs, and corporate accounts.
• Working understanding of contract staffing, payroll outsourcing, facility management, and labour compliance.
• Ability to generate leads independently, win business, and manage key accounts.
• A self-driven, target-focused mindset with a strong results orientation.

Performance indicators

Success in this role will be measured by new client acquisition in government and private segments, achievement of monthly and quarterly targets, contract value and revenue generated, tender participation and conversion, client retention, repeat business, and overall customer satisfaction.
