About Stripe
Stripe provides the financial backbone that helps businesses take payments, expand revenue, and unlock new growth. From major global enterprises to fast-growing startups, many organizations rely on Stripe to support commerce online. The company’s mission is to raise the GDP of the internet, giving more businesses the ability to participate in the global economy.
About the Team
This SDR role sits within Stripe’s Greater China team and supports some of the region’s most innovative and large-scale businesses across multiple industries. The role is central to Stripe’s sales growth, working closely with Demand Generation and Account Executive teams to evaluate leads and create a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities.
The position suits someone who enjoys early-stage sales conversations, is confident engaging prospects, and can identify business needs through thoughtful discovery. You should also be comfortable learning new products quickly and explaining their value in more complex selling situations.
There is also an expectation to contribute beyond selling by improving outreach processes, refining how Stripe’s value is communicated, and helping create tools and assets that allow the team to scale more effectively.
For the initial months, you will join the Sales Development Associate program, which is designed to speed up onboarding and help you ramp quickly into the SDR role. After that, you will continue developing through Stripe’s Sales Development Academy. These programs are backed by sales leadership as a core investment in employee growth.
Stripe takes a data-led, problem-solving approach to sales development and is looking for someone who can prospect confidently while also helping shape team strategy.
Responsibilities
- Prepare outreach content and prospect research for important accounts in collaboration with SDR and AE teammates.
- Work marketing-sourced leads, assess whether they are sales-ready, advance good prospects through the funnel, and set up meetings with the right salesperson.
- Run outbound sales campaigns developed by Marketing.
- Reach out to potential customers through cold calls or by responding to inbound interest generated by Marketing.
- Build rapport with prospects, ask effective discovery questions, and evaluate both interest and fit before passing leads to sales.
- Re-engage interested prospects who did not become opportunities on the first attempt.
- Manage lead queues efficiently, meet or exceed service-level expectations, keep CRM activity and contact records current, and contribute to weekly reporting.
- Share feedback with Marketing to strengthen targeting and messaging.
- Prospect into businesses of different sizes across the APAC region using multiple tools and outreach channels.
Requirements
- Demonstrated history of strong performance or prior success.
- Excellent spoken and written communication abilities.
- Self-driven and able to perform well in a fast-scaling environment.
- Willingness to work from Stripe’s Singapore office three days each week.
Additional Information
Stripe encourages applications from candidates even if their background does not match every requirement exactly. The company values passion, grit, integrity, diverse perspectives, rigorous thinking, and people who are willing to challenge assumptions.
In-office Expectations
Office-assigned employees at Stripe are generally expected to spend at least half of each month working from their local office or directly with users. This expectation may differ by role, team, and location. Some teams have higher in-office requirements depending on business needs, and the hiring manager will explain the details. The arrangement is intended to balance in-person collaboration and learning with flexibility where possible.
Pay and Benefits
The annual On Target Earnings range for this role in the primary location is S$84,000 to S$126,000. This may vary if the role is filled in another location. For sales positions, the stated range includes both target commissions/bonuses and annual base salary. The final compensation range may cover multiple career levels and will be narrowed during the interview process based on experience, qualifications, and location. Candidates outside the primary location may request the local salary range during interviews.
Benefits and additional compensation can vary by location and may include equity, company bonus or sales commissions/bonuses, retirement plans, health coverage, and wellness stipends.
Who Can Apply
This opportunity is open to candidates who meet the minimum requirements and are ready to work onsite in Singapore, including three days per week in the office.
