Role Overview

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) for the APAC region, reporting to the APAC Marketing Manager, plays a vital role in expanding the sales funnel by bridging Marketing and Sales efforts. The SDR is responsible for identifying, engaging, and cultivating new business leads that fuel pipeline growth for both inside and field sales teams across APAC.

Key Responsibilities

  • Actively generate and qualify new leads through outreach channels such as phone, email, and digital platforms including LinkedIn.
  • Collaborate closely with the APAC Marketing Lead to pursue inbound leads from campaigns including webinars, whitepapers, and events.
  • Conduct detailed research on target accounts and decision-makers to tailor communications and enhance conversion rates.
  • Qualify leads based on company attributes, role relevance, and buying readiness before passing to sales teams.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of all sales activities and prospect interactions within Salesforce and marketing databases.
  • Engage prospects by conducting discovery discussions to uncover their needs and challenges, delivering compelling value propositions.
  • Arrange warm handoffs and appointments for Sales Executives to further the sales process.
  • Re-activate dormant prospects in partnership with sales and provide ongoing support through content sharing and addressing preliminary inquiries.
  • Support account-based marketing tactics targeting key industry verticals.
  • Utilize sales and marketing tools such as Pardot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, HighSpot, and Quip to enhance outreach effectiveness.
  • Stay abreast of market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to inform strategy and identify opportunities.

Success Metrics

  • Consistent delivery of Sales Accepted Opportunities (SAOs) and Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs).
  • High conversion rates from outreach to meeting scheduling.
  • Effective pipeline acceleration through timely lead nurturing and qualification.

Candidate Requirements

  • Minimum of two years of experience in software sales or sales development, preferably within hospitality or B2B SaaS environments.
  • Excellent communication skills: articulate, confident, persuasive, and personable.
  • A proactive 'hunter' sales mindset with a proven record of exceeding targets in high-paced settings.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce tools (including Pardot and Salesloft), LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and intent data platforms.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational capabilities, and reliable follow-through.
  • Experience or interest in the hospitality, restaurant, or enterprise technology sectors is advantageous.
  • Preferred bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related disciplines.
  • Resilient, self-driven with a collaborative and team-oriented attitude.
  • Curious, coachable, and ambitious to develop within a sales or marketing career.
  • Customer-focused approach emphasizing long-term relationship building.
  • Knowledge of competitive landscapes in key APAC markets including Thailand, Indonesia, Australia/New Zealand, and Greater China; language skills in Thai and Bahasa Indonesia are beneficial but not mandatory.
