Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced RTO Consultant to join our Global Optimization group at the Al Khobar location. This full-time permanent role blends onsite presence with customer deployment, requiring a hybrid work schedule of 3 days in the office. The successful candidate will take a senior role in implementing and maintaining Real Time Optimization (RTO) applications within Refinery and Petrochemical environments using AVEVA’s Process Optimization software.
Responsibilities
- Deploy and maintain Real Time Optimization applications tailored to Refinery and Petrochemical units utilizing AVEVA Process Optimization tools.
- Serve as the primary technical liaison interfacing professionally with customers to ensure clear definition and agreement on project deliverables.
- Validate that engineered solutions align with project requirements including functionality, quality standards, documentation, and deployment processes.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues encountered during project implementation.
- Manage assigned work scopes according to the project plan, implement change control mechanisms, and proactively assess risks and opportunities.
- Analyze process flow diagrams and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs); engage in process-related discussions and perform complex data analysis and database updates.
- Provide support across other AVEVA project areas as needed.
Required Qualifications
- A Chemical Process or Control Engineer with over 10 years of experience optimizing Refinery and/or Petrochemical operations or planning.
- Proficiency in advanced refinery process simulation or control techniques applicable to Refinery and Petrochemical industries.
- Fluent English communication skills; Arabic language skills are considered advantageous.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with PI Asset Framework and PI Vision.
- Programming knowledge in TCL, Python, Excel VBA, or SQL is beneficial.
- Familiarity with Power BI data visualization tools.
