Revenue Planning Expert

About the Role

We are seeking a knowledgeable Revenue Planning Expert to drive excellence in analyzing, reconciling, and forecasting revenue within our organization. This contract opportunity is available exclusively to candidates based in the United Kingdom with valid work authorization.

Main Responsibilities

• Carefully align and audit revenue data from financial, sales, and marketing platforms, ensuring a clear distinction between revenue that has been booked, billed, recognized, and received.
• Develop, review, and assess comprehensive revenue planning models, drawing upon your advanced skills in spreadsheet analysis and scenario evaluation.
• Consistently define cost and margin categories, supporting precise reporting and targeted variance analysis.
• Transform complex numerical variance analyses into clear explanations, including what happened, causal factors, and recommended next steps.

Candidate Profile

• A minimum of 3 years' professional background in FP&A, revenue analytics, commercial finance, or business intelligence is a must-have.
• Expertise in advanced Excel/spreadsheet modeling and reconciliation across various data sources is essential.
• Previous experience in at least one of the following sectors strongly preferred: media or ad-tech, digital publishing, agency finance, e-commerce, subscription-based companies, or broader marketplace/commercial analytics.

Desirable Expertise

• Creating and refining forecasts for revenue and gross margin.
• Developing and reviewing budget-to-actual reports and constructing clear variance bridges.
• Performing in-depth analyses of profitability, cost-to-serve, and business trends.
• Meticulously documenting forecast assumptions and identifying anomalies or inconsistencies ahead of senior leadership reviews.
