Role Overview
A leading biopharmaceutical organization seeks an Associate Scientist to join their In-Process Analytical Sciences team. The successful candidate will contribute to CMC process development efforts focusing on antibody-based therapeutic products, playing a key role in advancing biologic drug substance development from preclinical stages through clinical trials and process validation.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducting analytical testing to support development of antibody drug substance processes.
- Producing precise and timely experimental results in compliance with established procedures.
- Delivering data to aid scientific analysis and decision-making processes.
- Preparing comprehensive technical reports and contributing to scientific publications.
- Maintaining rigorous laboratory documentation including electronic lab notebooks and training logs.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across various process and project teams.
- Utilizing technical problem-solving approaches to assist ongoing development and manufacturing operations.
Candidate Requirements
- Degree in a scientific discipline such as biochemistry, biotechnology, biological sciences, or related fields.
- Proven laboratory experience in pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, or academic settings with proficiency in techniques including HPLC, ELISA, iCE, gel electrophoresis, and SDS-PAGE.
- Exceptional attention to detail with a track record of accurate data creation and record maintenance.
- Ability to adhere to documented protocols and operate effectively within regulated environments.
- Strong communication skills and confidence in presenting scientific results to team members.
Experience with biologics, antibody therapeutics, CMC development, analytical sciences, process development, or GMP regulated settings is preferred.
Additional Details
The position is initially offered on a 12-month contract basis, located in Slough, England. Please note the company is planning an office relocation to Windlesham, Surrey around 2027 or 2028 pending confirmation.
