Role Overview
As the Regional General Manager, you will oversee a varied portfolio of tourist parks, driving operational excellence while spearheading strategic growth initiatives to enhance long-term value. This leadership position entails translating company strategy into actionable plans, identifying growth avenues, and fostering collaboration across departments to improve performance, customer satisfaction, and asset utilization.
Reporting directly to the Executive General Manager, this role holds full accountability for the region’s financial results, operational efficiency, and asset value enhancement. The position involves strategic guidance to park teams and partnership with senior leaders in Operations, Finance, People & Culture, Marketing, Revenue, Investments, and Development.
Responsibilities
- Drive and implement the regional strategy, achieving robust financial, operational, and customer experience targets.
- Spot and cultivate growth opportunities through market analysis, commercial projects, partnerships, and developmental initiatives.
- Boost regional value by enhancing operational efficiency, increasing revenues, and optimizing asset performance.
- Contribute strategic insights for capital investment, master planning, acquisitions, and development endeavors.
- Develop and empower leadership teams by instilling accountability, offering coaching, and enhancing capabilities.
- Promote effective collaboration with internal stakeholders to optimize commercial success and operational processes.
- Guarantee that parks consistently deliver exceptional guest experiences aligned with brand standards.
- Establish and nurture productive relationships with councils, tourism organizations, community groups, and other regional stakeholders.
Candidate Profile
- Proven leadership experience in managing multiple sites or regions within tourism, hospitality, accommodation, retail, or similar customer-centric sectors.
- Strong strategic acumen with proven ability to convert strategic plans into tangible operational achievements.
- Track record of enhancing financial performance, revenue growth, and operational efficiencies.
- Experience managing regional or multi-location profit and loss responsibilities, balancing commercial and customer excellence.
- Demonstrated capability in leading, coaching, and developing high-performing teams.
- Excellent skills in stakeholder engagement and influence across organizational levels.
- Collaborative leadership approach matched with sound commercial judgment and commitment to ongoing improvement.
