Role overview

This position is focused on delivery, sourcing, and people management for a trades and labour desk. The main responsibility is to handle candidate supply and placement rather than winning new clients or developing business. The ideal person will be experienced in finding, placing, and supporting a large pool of operatives.

What the role involves

You will work on live trades and labour requirements and move them quickly through to fill, while developing and maintaining a dependable pool of operatives that can be relied on for assignments. The emphasis is on finding suitable candidates, getting them onto site, and making sure they remain engaged and available.

Key duties

• Source, assess, and place trades workers and general operatives at scale.
• Develop, oversee, and keep a strong contractor and temporary worker pool active.
• Support operatives after placement by managing availability, redeployment, site concerns, and retention.

What you need to bring

The role suits someone with solid candidate delivery and management experience, preferably in construction trades and labour or another fast-moving temporary staffing environment. You should be used to working independently to meet fill targets and volume goals, and be comfortable dealing with worker issues on site. Experience using an ATS or CRM and working in a structured pipeline will be important.
