Role overview

Surge Staffing is seeking a Recruiter for its Columbus team. This role suits someone who enjoys matching people with opportunities and performs well in a busy, high-energy environment. You will manage recruiting activities for internal field staffing offices and guide candidates through the process from first contact through offer stage.

Key responsibilities

• Find, evaluate, and interview candidates for different staffing locations.
• Advertise open positions on job boards and through other sourcing channels.
• Develop and keep an active pool of potential candidates.
• Work with hiring managers to understand hiring needs and share suitable candidates.
• Keep applicants updated and engaged during each step of the process.
• Record and maintain applicant information accurately in the ATS.
• Track hiring trends and market shifts to stay informed.
• Support additional projects and tasks as required.

What the employer is looking for

• Background in recruiting, customer service, sales, or another people-oriented role; prior recruiting exposure is helpful but not mandatory.
• Confidence using the phone and virtual meeting tools.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Strong verbal and written communication, organization, and multitasking abilities.
• Professional, upbeat attitude with the ability to stay composed under deadlines.
• Willingness to learn the basics of employment law and compliance.
