Role Overview

The Ready Mix Truck Driver will be responsible for the secure and prompt delivery of concrete to residential and commercial construction sites. The position entails operating a concrete mixer, often navigating rough terrain, and can involve physically managing extension chutes weighing between thirty and fifty pounds.

Main Responsibilities

• Strictly adhere to safety regulations and company policies, contributing to a culture of workplace safety.
• Safely transport and deliver concrete to assigned destinations on time.
• Adjust discharge techniques to suit varying job site conditions and requirements.
• Attach, maneuver, and remove extension chutes as needed for proper placement of concrete.
• Maintain the cleanliness and operational condition of the mixer truck, conducting basic mechanical checks when necessary.
• Deliver excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor to positively represent the company.
• Collaborate effectively with dispatchers and team members to optimize workflow and resolve issues.

Qualifications

• Possession of a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL Class A or B).
• High School diploma is preferred.
• Compliance with FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse requirements.
• Demonstrated proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
• No DUI/DWI within the past five years; no more than three moving violations in the last three years; clean CSA and MVR record.
• Awareness of industry-specific safety practices and capable of following supervisory instructions.
• Familiarity with local routes and minor truck maintenance skills considered an asset.

Working Environment & Physical Demands

• Personal protective equipment must be worn; adherence to safety processes is mandatory.
• Work will occur outdoors at industrial locations, with exposure to varying environmental conditions.
• Daily activities include sitting, walking, climbing, and handling equipment or materials up to 50 pounds.
