Ranger - Fire Management Specialist

Role Overview

As a Ranger, you will be instrumental in safeguarding, managing, and enhancing Queensland's national parks, state forests, and reserves, ensuring their accessibility and value to the public. This position is embedded within the South-West Region Fire Management Team, focusing on advancing the region's planned burning initiatives and supporting bushfire preparedness and response efforts.

Key Responsibilities

• Support on-ground execution of the region’s fire management programs.
• Participate in and contribute to fire operations involving planned burns and bushfire responses.
• Work effectively within small, operational teams during fire management activities.

Candidate Profile

• Passionate about fire management and its role in promoting positive environmental outcomes.
• Capable of supporting and leading planned burning and bushfire response actions across the South West Region.
• Organized with the ability to efficiently juggle multiple tasks.
• Willing to share knowledge and skills with a diverse team.
