Role Overview

This position offers a 12-month contract based in Cork, Ireland, with remote working flexibility. The Range Planner join the Trading (Buying) team to assist Range Planning Managers with executing the Range Calendar, designing planograms, aiding macro space projects, and delivering merchandising solutions aligned with category strategies. The role ensures category range and space objectives are achieved effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Designing planograms by analyzing product performance, consumer insights, product mix optimization, and shelf positioning.
• Updating planograms to support range review processes and leadership priorities, maintaining currency and accuracy.
• Physically assembling product ranges in the merchandising center.
• Overseeing plan implementation in trial and control stores to evaluate their effectiveness alongside Range Planning & Trading Managers.
• Managing communications with retailers regarding category plans to ensure proper understanding and execution.
• Utilizing the Apollo system to plan, analyze, and generate reports by format, store, cluster, and product.
• Extracting and applying range insights from Apollo to inform planogram development.
• Supporting post-launch performance analysis and driving action plans for continuous improvement.
• Assisting the Range & Space Project Manager as needed.

Candidate Profile

• Experience working with specialized planogram software tailored for retail merchandising.
• Familiarity with merchandising principles and practical application beneficial.
• Prior retail experience, especially on the shop floor, is advantageous.
• Strong analytical capabilities combined with excellent planning, organizational skills, and a commercially aware customer focus.
• Ability to influence and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve business outcomes.
