Overview

We seek a Quality Engineer with robust practical experience in manual, automated, mobile, and API testing to uphold the quality and dependability of our web and mobile applications. The role involves close collaboration with developers and product teams in an Agile workflow.

Manual Testing Responsibilities

Interpret business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Create and execute test plans, test cases, and various test scenarios.
Conduct functional, regression, smoke, sanity, and user acceptance testing.
Document, monitor, and resolve defects using JIRA.
Work alongside development and product teams to address issues promptly.

Automation Testing Duties

Design, create, and sustain automated test scripts and frameworks.
Run automated regression tests integrated with CI/CD pipelines.
Enhance automation test coverage and optimize execution times.
Contribute to framework improvements and participate in code reviews.

Mobile Testing Tasks

Test Android and iOS apps across diverse devices and OS versions.
Verify UI/UX consistency, responsiveness, and usability.
Evaluate compatibility, installation procedures, interruptions, and network conditions.

API Testing Responsibilities

Validate REST and SOAP APIs by assessing requests, responses, schemas, and error responses.
Test API authentication, authorization, and security aspects.
Automate API test cases and integrate them into CI/CD workflows.

Accessibility Testing

Assess user interfaces for compliance with WCAG 2.1 AA guidelines.
Utilize tools such as Axe and Lighthouse to detect accessibility issues.
Collaborate with designers and developers on corrective actions.

Requirements

Minimum of three years of experience in quality engineering or software testing.
Comprehensive knowledge of software development and testing life cycles, Agile, and Scrum practices.
Excellent communication and collaborative abilities across technical and business teams.
Proven experience with web, mobile, and API testing techniques.
Familiarity with API testing tools like Postman.
Experience or willingness to learn automation frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.
Understanding of mobile automation tools such as Appium is advantageous.
Basic proficiency in Java or JavaScript programming languages.
Exposure to CI/CD tools including Jenkins or GitHub Actions is beneficial.
Knowledge of accessibility standards and tools is a plus.
Experience managing defects and testing via platforms like JIRA.
