Job Purpose

This role is responsible for ensuring that all electrical tasks linked to the 132 kV Underground Cable (UGC) project meet project specifications, quality benchmarks, relevant codes, and regulations throughout the project's lifecycle including planning, inspection, testing, and final handover. A solid understanding of ISO standards, strong analytical problem-solving skills, and meticulous attention to detail are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, update, and enforce the Project Quality Plan (PQP), ensuring adherence to all quality protocols.
• Set and manage quality metrics and assurance goals for manufacturing and construction phases.
• Manage the Quality Management System (QMS) focusing on continuous improvements.
• Inspect and oversee the testing of materials, equipment, electrical systems, and workmanship to confirm conformity with standards and specifications.
• Supervise onsite activities ensuring compliance with project requirements, quality plans, and applicable codes.
• Implement quality control processes to maintain consistency and dependability of materials and workmanship.
• Review and sanction project documentation, designs, materials, and methods for quality adherence.
• Detect quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and initiate corrective/preventive actions.
• Keep detailed records including inspection reports, test results, non-conformity reports, and corrective action documentation.
• Conduct quality audits internally and externally, supporting audits by clients and regulatory bodies.
• Collaborate with clients, consultants, auditors, and internal teams on all quality-related issues.
• Ensure all testing and measurement equipment are calibrated and maintained to prescribed standards.
• Validate and certify work upon completion before project handover.
• Provide training and guidance on quality standards to project and site teams.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives aimed at elevating product quality, operational effectiveness, and customer satisfaction.

Candidate Profile

• Possess a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Have 5 to 7 years of relevant technical experience in underground cable layering and transmission systems.
• Demonstrated experience in securing Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) approvals is essential.
• Must be a Saudi national.
