Key responsibilities

  • Participate in PDCA-based improvement activities.

  • Monitor compliance with applicable product certification requirements.
  • Record, report, and follow up on supplier non-conformities.
  • Maintain accurate records, logs, and statistics.
  • Update and analyze department KPIs such as PPM, NC count, and complaint count.
  • Support introduction of new products and new processes for both internal operations and suppliers.
  • Assist with customer final acceptance tests (FATs).
  • Investigate complaints and drive corrective and preventive actions using the 8D method.
  • Encourage and support Kaizen activities within the team and the wider organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, production, or industrial engineering.
  • 6 to 10 years of relevant working experience.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining, sheet metal, molding, casting, plastic injection molding, high-pressure die casting, investment casting, and surface treatment processes is preferred.
  • Good knowledge of geometric dimensioning, ISO GPS, GD&T, and tolerances, with exposure to mechanical new product development.
  • Hands-on experience with supplier evaluation, supplier development, supplier audits, and supplier capability upgrades.
  • Understanding of product certification and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to support implementation and upkeep of an integrated Quality Management System.
  • Experience with material, process, and product inspection and testing.
  • Familiarity with measuring instruments such as Vernier caliper, height gauge, micrometer, surface tester, and CMM.
  • Knowledge of ASME, ISO, ANSI, AISI, DIN, and JIS standards.
  • Exposure to calibration management for gauges and tools.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and SAP QM.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with supplier quality, QMS support, global exposure, and PFMEA.
