Role overview

Endress+Hauser Liquid Analysis Pvt. Ltd. is hiring a Quality Assurance Engineer for its Operations department in Aurangabad, Maharashtra. The role is centered on making sure incoming materials and supplier-supplied parts conform to the company’s technical, quality, and certification standards.

This position plays an important part in improving product and process stability by carrying out structured incoming checks, contributing to supplier development, and following through on corrective and preventive actions. It also supports the integrated Quality Management System through documentation, audit preparation, and ongoing improvement work. By coordinating quality-control efforts, working with cross-functional teams, and supporting qualification of new products and processes, the role helps strengthen supplier performance and overall quality performance across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the main technical contact for suppliers and the SCM team for local clarifications.
• Act as the local support point for operations and suppliers on technical matters.
• Handle the quality inspection laboratory and incoming inspection activities.
• Carry out supplier-side process reviews and technology audits.
• Support first-sample qualification at supplier locations.
• Provide on-site support to Global Production Support for serialized parts and products.
• Review, control, and manage incoming inspection workflows.
• Approve zero-series and pilot-series products.
• Prepare, revise, and maintain quality-related documentation.
• Identify needs for new inspection tools, measurement methods, and control techniques.
• Participate in PDCA-based improvement activities.
• Identify training needs and deliver online quality training for internal teams and suppliers.
• Monitor compliance with applicable product certification requirements.
• Record, report, and follow up on supplier non-conformities.
• Maintain accurate records, logs, and statistics.
• Update and analyze department KPIs such as PPM, NC count, and complaint count.
• Support introduction of new products and new processes for both internal operations and suppliers.
• Assist with customer final acceptance tests (FATs).
• Investigate complaints and drive corrective and preventive actions using the 8D method.
• Encourage and support Kaizen activities within the team and the wider organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, production, or industrial engineering.
• 6 to 10 years of relevant working experience.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining, sheet metal, molding, casting, plastic injection molding, high-pressure die casting, investment casting, and surface treatment processes is preferred.
• Good knowledge of geometric dimensioning, ISO GPS, GD&T, and tolerances, with exposure to mechanical new product development.
• Hands-on experience with supplier evaluation, supplier development, supplier audits, and supplier capability upgrades.
• Understanding of product certification and compliance requirements.
• Ability to support implementation and upkeep of an integrated Quality Management System.
• Experience with material, process, and product inspection and testing.
• Familiarity with measuring instruments such as Vernier caliper, height gauge, micrometer, surface tester, and CMM.
• Knowledge of ASME, ISO, ANSI, AISI, DIN, and JIS standards.
• Exposure to calibration management for gauges and tools.
• Proficiency in MS Office and SAP QM.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with supplier quality, QMS support, global exposure, and PFMEA.
