Role Overview
The QSHE Supervisor will lead a team of Quality, Safety, Health, and Environmental professionals to ensure raw materials and finished products meet established quality standards. The role involves maintaining GMPs/GHPs compliance and aligning internal procedures with corporate policies via the Global Quality Management System (GQMS). Driving best practices, internal audits, and continuous improvement to minimize non-conformances is a key focus.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote and embed a "Safety First, Quality Always" culture that prioritizes safety, regulatory compliance, and ongoing improvement across the site.
- Lead, mentor, and build a skilled Quality team, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
- Ensure adherence to HACCP, GMPs, SSOPs, allergen control programs, and sanitation procedures upholding top industry and client standards.
- Manage customer complaint investigations promptly to guarantee effective resolution and improve customer satisfaction.
- Execute root cause analyses and oversee CAPA implementation to prevent repeat issues and enhance processes related to nonconformities, complaints, and audit findings.
- Supervise inspections of incoming raw materials and finished goods to maintain quality consistency and specification compliance.
- Champion continuous improvement efforts based on data evaluation and strong collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Design and deliver quality training to plant personnel on GMP principles and QMS/FSMS initiatives.
- Provide feedback on system adherence via internal audits, management reviews, and quality trending to support ongoing enhancements.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years’ experience in food quality and safety management.
- Experience working in a multinational food, ingredients, or pharmaceutical company is highly preferred.
- Certification in food safety management systems such as FSSC 22000, HACCP, GMPs, GHPs, and auditing credentials like Lead Auditor certification are advantageous.
- Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC), Lean, or Six Sigma methodologies is considered a plus.
