QA / QC Manager

Job Overview

Experts Plus Recruitment Services is looking for an experienced QA/QC Manager to head the Quality Department for major building construction projects based in Doha, Qatar. This role involves the development, execution, and continual enhancement of the Project Quality Management System (PQMS), ensuring all construction undertakings comply with contract stipulations, approved drawings, project specifications, relevant codes, company policies, and international standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the project Quality team, collaborating closely with stakeholders including Engineering, Construction, MEP, Procurement, Planning, Consultants, Clients, and Subcontractors.
• Establish and maintain the PQMS to meet quality objectives throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee implementation of quality practices in compliance with contract and statutory requirements.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering field.
• 15 to 20 years of progressive experience in QA/QC within major building construction projects.
• At least 10 years with Tier-1 or Tier-2 main contractors, excluding prior experience predominantly in consultancy, laboratories or third-party inspection firms.
• A minimum of 5 years in QA/QC managerial or senior engineering leadership roles.
• Proven track record in the development and/or management of PQMS.
• In-depth experience with diverse projects such as high-rise buildings, commercial and residential towers, mixed-use developments, hospitality, and healthcare constructions.
• Strong proficiency in standards and practices including ISO 9001, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, material inspections, shop drawing compliance, QA/QC documentation, Non-Conformance Report (NCR) management, Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA), and root cause analysis.
• Experience liaising with Consultants and Clients regarding quality assurances.
• Well-versed in international construction codes and quality benchmarks with prior involvement in significant building projects in Qatar or GCC countries.
• Excellent leadership abilities, communication skills, and report writing aptitude.
